Libertarians of Northeast Kansas met at 7:00 p.m.,
September 27, at Planet Sub in Topeka.
We discussed the OPH booth at the State Fair.
Information Mike Wilson had sent to make future OPH booth experiences go more
smoothly was distributed and discussed..
Information on the National LP bylaws committee
draft proposals was distributed.
One of our candidates announced that he may already
have a campaign manager and a treasurer. (As reported last month, names of our
candidates and the offices for which they are running will not be released until
a formal announcement of their candidacy has been made.)
It was announced that the Free Kansan is in need of
articles for the next issue, and everyone was encouraged to
contribute.
Sharon announced that she has not yet started her
research on eminent domain abuse. Carol Stone's information on her research on
the No Child Left Behind was distributed.
Our next meeting would normally be on October 25,
but the Third Party Forum falls on that night. The group voted to substitute
attendance at the forum for our regular meeting.
We agreed, in order to reflect well on the LPKS, to
dress professionally for the forum. Some of us would like to meet at Planet Sub
that evening and carpool from there. Anyone interested in carpooling should
